Miami-Dade is a county of 2.7 million people, 34 incorporated municipalities and a large unincorporated area, all sorted by the Postal Service into close to eighty residential ZIP codes. For anyone looking into men’s sober living in Miami-Dade, those five digits answer real questions. Is this house near my job? Near my outpatient program? Near the people I need to stay away from? This page is the reference hub for our Miami-Dade series. It gives a county-wide overview, a written map of Miami-Dade ZIP codes, full tables organized by area, and links to every city guide we have published.
I’m Richard, and I’ve spent years around recovery housing in South Florida. The Foundry runs two men’s houses: one in North Miami Beach (ZIP 33162) and one in Hollywood, just over the Broward line. Everything below is meant to help a man or his family get oriented, whichever house, or whichever city, turns out to be right.

Picture the county as a fan opening south and west from downtown Miami:
- The center (33128 to 33137). Downtown, Brickell, Little Havana, Wynwood, Edgewater and Coconut Grove all sit in a tight cluster of 3312x and 3313x ZIPs around the mouth of the Miami River.
- The beaches (33109, 33139 to 33141, 33154, 33160, 33149). Miami Beach runs 33139 (south) to 33140 to 33141 (north). Surfside and Bal Harbour are 33154, and Sunny Isles and Golden Beach share 33160. Key Biscayne stands alone at 33149.

- The west and southwest (33144 to 33196). The 3317x to 3319x range fans out through Westchester, Tamiami, Kendall and The Hammocks. The numbers generally climb as you head west and southwest toward the Everglades.
- The far south (33030 to 33035, 33170, 33177, 33187, 33189, 33190). Cutler Bay, Goulds, Redland, Homestead and Florida City. The county’s other block of 330 numbers is here.
Miami-Dade ZIP codes by area
The tables cover every standard residential ZIP in Miami-Dade. PO-box-only ZIPs, unique ZIPs assigned to single organizations, and a handful of standard ZIPs with no resident population (33191, 33195 and 33198) are omitted. ZIPs cross city lines constantly, and most of the unincorporated county, plus several cities, uses “Miami” as the postal name. Each ZIP appears once, under the area where most of it lies, with other communities noted.

Choosing men’s sober living in Miami-Dade: what matters more than the ZIP
A ZIP code narrows the search. It doesn’t tell you whether a house is any good. These are the standards I would hold any Miami-Dade house to.
- Certification. Florida’s voluntary certification for recovery residences is set out in section 397.487 of the Florida Statutes and administered by the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR). Ask for the certificate. Our FARR guide explains the review.
- Enforced rules. No alcohol or drugs, randomized testing, curfew, chores, required meetings, and a daytime commitment. See sober living rules.
- Honest admissions. A clear answer on fit, on cost (given on a call), and on what happens after a relapse.
- Location that serves the plan. Close enough to work, outpatient care and family. Far enough from the old neighborhood.
Meetings, work and family support
Miami-Dade has one of the densest AA and NA meeting schedules in the country. Use the official finders, AA and NA, and our Miami meetings guide. For job help, CareerSource South Florida runs public career centers across the county. Families can find support through Al-Anon and our families page.

The Foundry’s houses, relative to the county
Foundry: Lakehouse is at 871 NE 182nd Terrace, North Miami Beach, FL 33162, in Miami-Dade’s northeast corner near Aventura and I-95. It’s a lakeside home with eight bedrooms and five bathrooms, canoes and kayaks, a hammock, a tree swing and a fire pit. Drive times vary a great deal across a county this size. From downtown Miami it’s roughly 25 to 35 minutes. From Kendall, plan on 40 minutes to an hour. From Homestead, an hour or more, depending on traffic.
Foundry: Beachhouse is at 701 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, FL 33019, on the Intracoastal Waterway a few minutes from Hollywood Beach, about 15 to 25 minutes north of the Lakehouse. Some Miami-Dade men choose it for a bit of distance from home.
Both are FARR-certified and men-only. Both are run by men in recovery who are active in the fellowship, built around meetings and a sponsor. New residents are expected to be in work, school, volunteering or an outpatient program within the first couple of weeks, and we drive them to meetings and appointments early on. Rooms are furnished with utilities, linens, laundry and internet included. It’s private pay, with scholarships for qualified men. Most men stay three to twelve months. The Foundry is a recovery residence, not treatment or detox.

Call (954) 817-7143 or visit admissions to talk it through. In a crisis, call or text 988, or call 911.
